We all love a good pie, and now two incredible North West pie shops, Ate Days a Week of Stockport and Baldy’s of Wigan (pie capital), invite you to join a never-been-done-before event from two multi-award winning pie chefs. Pie Sessions is a new concept taking place at Stockport bar Notion, offering an extensive tasting menu of a massive eight courses covering cuisine from all over the world, all in pies.
Creations from a Bake Off The Professionals finalist and a MasterChef contestant, alongside the Greater Manchester pie makers, include out-of-this-world flavour combinations wrapped up in pastry. Try the likes of the Truffle Beef and Bone Marrow Pie, the Pie-Scream – blending Japanese flavours such as miso and katsu all in an ice cream shaped pie, and gorgeous desserts from Harwoods Patisserie such as the Iced Orange and Brown Sugar Parfait to finish.
There will also be some slightly more conventional pies on offer, such as the Lamb and Goats Cheese Pie and the Poached Cod Pithivier, but you can bet they’ll be absolute top quality with twists on flavours you know and love. The Pie Sessions in Stockport are really for the die-hard pie lovers out there, who will really appreciate the ingenuity and craft that goes into making these best-in-class creations.
Pie Sessions is about elevating the humble pie to new heights and giving you something you never knew you wanted, all in the lovely town of Stockport, just a short journey from the city centre. It aims to give the lucky few the opportunity to taste the delights of pie-makers that don’t necessarily have a permanent home, making this a rare opportunity.
The first of the Pie Sessions takes place at Notion in Stockport on Tuesday 21 November at 6:30pm, and you can grab your ticket here – but be quick, it’s set to be extremely popular. We hope to have news of more to come.
Notion is located at 8 Vernon St, Stockport SK1 1TY.
