Never one to sit still, Masterchef’s Simon Wood has announced a brand new concept for his acclaimed Manchester restaurant – this time, honing in on top quality cheeses, wines and beers for a new dining experience that will take over the former private dining room at the Jack Rosenthal St venue.
Offering an intimate experience that promises to be a ‘first of its kind’ here in the UK, the new cheese restaurant will be open to just seven tables per night, not only offering an intimate atmosphere, but a rather exclusive one, too.
Opening on November 18th, Wood says guests can expect a “relaxed cheese journey” when dining at Homage, “with expertly matched chutneys, accompaniments and paired wines and liquors to carry guests through the evening”. Wood added: “Homage is about connecting, sitting back and enjoying time with family, friends and colleagues, whether you’re having a quiet taster and glass of wine with a friend you’ve not seen in years, or a business meeting over a long port with an associate.”
Guests can expect delectable cheese pairings throughout the visit, with fine wine pairings and luxury extras such as Ox cheek to enjoy alongside the specially curated cheeses.
Announcing the news on social media, the team said: “The latest addition to WOOD Manchester, situated in the former private dining area of the acclaimed restaurant Homage is a cleverly crafted room dedicated to paired cheese, chutneys, wines and beers.
”Working with the best local Artisan producers, foragers and craftsmen Homage is a decadent way to celebrate a perfect marriage of opulence and expertise a celebration of truly magnificent produce.”
