The new flavour is in celebration of the brewery’s seventh birthday.
Seven Bro7hers has long been a favourite of Mancs. Their casual-yet-cool Ancoats beerhouse is the perfect place for a Sunday session, and their honey-flavoured beer, in particular, has us head-over-heels for their Salford-made brews. Founded back in 2014 by the seven McAvoy brothers, the brand has gone from strength to strength in recent years, launching both their Ancoats and Salford beerhouses, as well as a taproom at their Salford brewery.
Now, the brothers are celebrating their seventh year in business together with a bang, creating a ‘7 Series’ of special craft beers designed and created by each brother. Kicking off the series with a very interesting combo, Kit McAvoy has concocted a peanut butter and jaffa cake flavoured stout, inspired by his favourite (and slightly peculiar) snack.
Speaking about his stout, Director and Export Manager for SEVEN BRO7HERS BREWING CO, Kit McAvoy, said: “The idea came from a snack I created for myself as a child. I loved peanut butter and I loved Jaffa Cakes and one day – like kids do – I thought why not try them together. I can safely say it is still one of my favourite snacks to this day, and something I am constantly introducing people too.
“This year we celebrate seven years in business, which is a special birthday for us. We wanted to commemorate the anniversary with a series that celebrates our family and seven years of hard work – seven years, seven beers, seven unique ideas.
“It has been really fun taking well-known beers and flavours back to the drawing board and getting inventive with the brewing team. We are enormously proud of the last seven years and we hope people join us in celebrating this landmark.”
Kit added: “Have you ever had peanut butter on a Jaffa Cake? All I can say is, thank me later!”
Described as a ‘nuttily sweet stout’, the new beer is 7% ABV and is available in a 440ml can from the SEVEN BRO7HERS webshop for £5. The flavour will be followed by an additional six limited-edition flavours, which will see the other brothers sharing their dream creations.
