Say cheers to steins and brines!
Manchester and Liverpool share a number of fantastic independent bars and restaurants – from Manc-born Rudy’s and Almost Famous, to Liverpool’s own Midnight Delivery and Mowgli. And now, joining the fantastic list of growing North West-based independents is Salt Dog Slim’s – an uber-cool American-style bar known for its ‘steins and brines’.
Providing a new casual drinking and dining spot for Mancs to enjoy, the upcoming opening is set to come to Bow Lane near King Street – with owner’s GSG (who also run Bold Street Coffee and Santa Chupitos) with an opening date set for October 15th.
Matt Farrell, Director of Salt Dog Slim’s, said: “We set our sights on opening a venue in Manchester a while ago and we’re very excited to be opening the doors to Salt Dog Slim’s very soon. Despite the challenges that Covid has created, we’ve pushed on with the build of the venue and behind the scenes we’ve been working on our interesting cocktails and new food menu for when we open.
John Ennis, Director of Salt Dog Slim’s, added: “Salt Dog Slims is famous for providing steins, brines and good times and we’re really looking forward to bringing that same energy to Manchester and welcoming our guests for the first time in the coming months.”
The new bar will serve steins, cocktails, and hot dogs are part of its offering – but in addition to the laid-back bar, which boasts stripped-back decor, Salt Dog Slim’s will also be home to a top-secret speakeasy, which can only be entered by appointment.
Bookings are open now, and you can find out more here.
