My kinda Sunday service.
Pot Kettle Black has long been a firm favourite of coffee-loving Mancs, becoming well-known (and well-loved) for its rich brews and airy atmosphere – a factor that has resulted in the once-small coffee shop rapidly growing with multiple venues around the city, including Barton Arcade, Manchester Airport, and the newest of their flock: Angel Gardens.
Opening for the first time just this past July, the city centre might just well be PBK’s brightest and most beautiful yet, and now, fans can enjoy it in a whole new way. Announcing a special event set to take place this October, patrons will be treated to a Sunday service like no other – with the fabulous Lady Bushra bringing the comedy for the occasion.
Taking place on Sunday 3rd October, guests will be able to tuck into a delicious Sunday roast – made up of a choice of slow-roasted chicken leg, pan-roasted chicken breast or mushroom wellington, with a roast potato, veg, stuffing & Yorkshire pudding platter to share – while enjoying free-flowing drinks for an entire 90 minutes. Swig on all the prosecco, beer or Bloody Mary’s you can manage for the duration, with performances from some of the UK’s funniest drag queens in store, too.
Hosted by Lady Bushra, the event will include four whole hours of camp, comedic fun with the likes of Liquorice Black, Donna Trump, Yshee Black and Christian Gay taking to the stage.
The event will mark PKB’s first-ever ‘Sunday Service’ event (with more expected to follow) and you can pick up tickets here for just £35pp.
