While Manchester is well-known for it’s lively nights out, for many, secretly or not, the best part is refuelling after hours on the dancefloor. The kebab is perhaps the most popular of these unsung heroes, with the takeaways just as full as the nightclubs (per square metre, at least) when it gets to around 3am.
Manchester is also partial to pink things, namely, though not limited to, these kind of places. Some genius has now decided to meld these two worlds together and deliver *drumroll please* pink kebabs.
In a UK first, German Doner Kebab have let their brand new creation, which I’ll just reiterate is PINK KEBABS, loose into the world as of Monday (July 11). The pair of pink kebabs even have special names… Coco & Kiki.
C&K promises to give you the classic German Doner Kebab flavour with a new splash of colour. Served up in two sizes, both kebabs are served up in a” peshwari- like pink coconut-infused waffle bread, and are combined with classic doner meats and fresh salad.”
And, if you’re still not convinced, the chain kebab shop have got UK music talent to back it up on their campaign, including the likes of Tion Wayne, Stefflon Don, and Nadia Rose. As part of the launch, there will also be a limited edition release of a Coco & Kiki fashion collection from Dresscodenation, with pieces signed by the music ambassadors up for competition.
Daniel Bunce, German Doner Kebab Global COO, said: “We’re excited to finally introduce the Coco & Kiki kebabs to our list of game-changing products and give our customers something disruptive and deliciously unexpected.
“At GDK we are known for our expectation-defying kebabs and the new Coco & Kiki kebabs demonstrates our disruptive spirit through food, fashion and unique collaborations with some of the UK’s hottest up-and-coming music artists.”
