Let me introduce you to your new quarantine obsession…
If baking has become just another tedious task this lockdown, then it’s time to try your hand at something new – cocktail making. From Dark Fruits slushies to refreshing glasses of Frosé, there’s a lot of inspiration swarming our Instagram feeds. But the cocktail that’s got us really excited? Behold, the Percy Pig cocktail.
Giving the classic sweet an alcoholic twist, one Instagram user has kindly shared the recipe for the rest of us to try – and it sounds like a sugary haven in a glass. It’s really simple to recreate too, and all you need is a blender and a cocktail glass to make the magic happen.
Here’s what you need to get started:
4/5 Strawberries
2 Scoops of Vanilla Icecream
1 Handful of Ice
1 Tablespoon of Percy Pig sauce
2 Shots of Tequila Rose
Method:
- Chop the tops off 4/5 strawberries.
- Add the strawberries, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, a handful of ice, a tablespoon of Percy Pig dessert sauce and two shots of Tequila Rose into a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Decorate your glass with a bit of the Percy Pig dessert sauce (just like a Sundae), before pouring in the cocktail mix you’ve just created.
- Garnish with Percy Pig sweets and serve.
