A Huge Retro-Themed Arcade Cocktail Bar Is Opening On Peter Street This Month

Can’t wait to get our hands on those arcade games!

Peter Street is once again proving that it will be the place to be post-lockdown, with a new addition coming to the already bustling area. The amazing NQ64 is taking over and renovating what used to be Club LIV and we couldn’t be more excited to see the new location in all its glory. [Featured image: @NQ64mcr]

Currently based on Short Street, this arcade bar is like a playground for adults, with tons of amazing arcade games to spend the evening obsessing over, and a whole host of amazing drinks to enjoy whilst you’re doing it. It seems that NQ64 will be adding to its already extensive roster of exciting arcade games, which makes the gamer in us so happy. Up until now, the list of thrilling games has included classics like Ms. Pacman, The House of The Dead, Street Fighter and Tekken. Plus, newer games like Guitar Hero Arcade and Family Guy Pinball.

We can’t wait to sip some of NQ64’s amazing cocktails either, which already includes tons of arcade game-themed, tasty concoctions. Ever had a Princess Peach, with a prosecco base? Or a tasty E.Tini—a martini with a delicious twist? Well, get ready for a hit of sugary, alcoholic goodness.

The best part? The venue is even looking for game testers ahead of the launch, which will involve testing out the machines to make sure they’re in working order and drinking their beers and cocktails for free. Announcing in an Instagram post, NQ64 said:

“Hold on to your controllers, we’re opening ANOTHER NQ64 in Manchester on 21st June! The new bar is on Peter St (next to Albert’s Schloss), and we’ll be opening the doors to the public on 21st June… but before that, we need people to make sure the games are all in working order – which is where you all come in!

“We need games testers 17th – 19th June in the evenings, and you can apply by following us and DMing us with your name, the date you fancy and how many of you are coming (up to 4). As always, the drinks will be on us!”

The opening date is set for June 21st, so you’d better get practicing your dance moves for Dance Revolution and start mentally plan your night with their online menu, because exciting times are on the way!
