To kick off the warmer days and longer nights in Manchester, one of the city’s legendary music venues New Century has launched a summer terrace alongside a glorious new cocktail menu. The food, drink and music destination is gearing up for its first sizzling summer, and the team has created a stunning selection of summer spritzers and cocktails for the people of Manchester to enjoy in the sun on their terrace.
The first cocktail joining New Century’s roster is the Tanqueray 10 Spritz. Pretty in pink, this sweet and sour concoction is made with a delightful mix of Tanqueray 10, pink grapefruit juice, sugar syrup, soda water, and is garnished with grapefruit.
Those on the hunt for their spicy marg fix ,look no further, thanks to New Century’s Picante. Made with El Tequileno, lime juice, agave, tabasco, garnished with a chilli rim and lime, it’s the perfect drink for anyone wanting to ramp up the heat this summer.
The Blue Drink is sure to bring back plenty of childhood nostalgia, as it’s everybody’s favourite blue raspberry slushy made with a grown up twist. Made with a generous dose of tequila, this cocktail is retro perfection at its finest.
For those wanting something light and fruity, there’s also the Strawberry Gin Fizz. This beautiful mix of Beefeater Strawberry Gin, prosecco, soda water, and fresh strawberry will tantalise all gin lovers’ taste buds.
The New Century team hasn’t forgotten about the OG of all summer drinks, Pimm’s. Their Pimm’s Cup is New Century’s take on this old school favourite, and is mixed with ginger ale and lemon juice, topped with strawberries and a sprig of mint.
Rum lovers will rejoice in the Rum Punch, made with Santiago De Cuba rum and Wray & Nephew, grenadine, orange and pineapple juice, lime, and garnished with pineapple and cherry. Last but not least of New Century’s latest cocktail additions is the Summer Mule. Made with Ketel One Vodka, fresh lime, angostura, and ginger ale, it’s New Century’s take on the Moscow Mule and is as zingy and delicious as ever.
All of these refreshing cocktails can be enjoyed in copious amounts on the New Century summer terrace, the perfect little suntrap located directly outside of the New Century’s kitchen. Plus, they can also be enjoyed in the stunning 60s inspired bar when the Manchester weather doesn’t play ball.
