With currently three locations across Manchester, Nell’s Pizza has become a much-loved pizza spot in and around the city thanks to their huge New York-style slices and innovative toppings. Now, following on from the pizzeria’s announcement of a new city centre site, Nell’s Pizza is expanding further as it is set to open a new location in Altrincham.
Nell’s is the brainchild from the founders of The Beagle in Chorlton and Common in the Northern Quarter and has become famous for their massive 22 inch pizzas and 14 inch slices bigger than your head that don’t fall apart. In 2022, a restaurant fully dedicated to Nell’s pizza opened at Kampus, where guests can chow down on 22″ pizza pies, sip on signature cocktails and indulge in Nell’s ice cream sandwiches.
Set to open at the Stamford Quarter’s Foundation building in Altrincham in November, the new Nell’s Pizza venue will feature a huge bar and outside terrace area. Foundation is a new workspace and leisure destination in Altrincham town centre and is part of a wider transformational plan to revitalise the high street through a joint venture between Bruntwood and Trafford Council.
Art and music play a huge part in Nell’s identity, Nell’s Pizza in Altrincham will feature a fresh set of work by multi-media artist Tara Colette, whose protest style banners highlight all the best bits of Nell’s – WELL BAKED, WELL SAUCED, WELL GOOD. At weekends, you’ll find local and emerging talent filling the place with tunes from underneath the disco ball.
Announcing the new location, founder Jonny Heyes, said: “We’ve been hoping to open a Nell’s in Altrincham for years. We love the town, it’s so vibrant, it almost feels like coming on holiday when you head over here. We can’t wait to be part of it.”
Nell’s Altrincham will open on November 22 and to celebrate their arrival Nell’s is offering the chance to win a table for 10 to their VIP opening, with free drinks and pizza by signing up here.
