Tequila, triple sec, lime juice. You might think you know the classic Margarita, but National Margarita Week will give you a whole new perspective on the world’s favourite cocktail. 100% agave tequila brand Cazcabel have expanded the already existing Margarita Day, to a whole week (thanks guys), all about using quality ingredients and learning all about the process of Margarita making – which you can do right here in Manchester.
Up and down the country there will be ‘Master Your Margarita’ masterclasses, events, tastings, partnerships and promotions, all to celebrate the cocktail. From 19 to 27 February, Manchester bars such as Hudson Social, Lane 7 and Pixel Bar will be hosting drinks experiences to celebrate all things Margarita, in partnership with Cazcabel.
This week, Cazcabel Tequila are collaborating with Hammonds and Hudson Social for a five-day takeover, where they will bring Mexico to Manchester in celebration of Margarita Day. Event-goers will be able to sample a limited-edition margarita menu, learn to make their own Margarita in a masterclass, and top off Margarita Week with a Friday night fiesta, all set against a backdrop of an immersive agave experience.
The ‘Margarita Fiesta’ promises to be a fun filled night complete with Margaritas, a special guest DJ set, and Mexican-inspired decorations to give partygoers an unforgettable fiesta feeling. You can book masterclasses and find out more information here.
Manchester cult favourite gaming bar Pixel Bar will also be getting in on the Margarita hype, with gaming-themed Margs up for grabs throughout February. Get your hands on the likes of ‘Caz Bandicoot‘, ‘Aku Aku‘ and ‘Caz Team Racing‘ all month long with two for £11 every day until 9pm.
Bowling bar Lane 7 is also a Margarita destination this month in Manchester, churning out its signature frozen Margaritas all month long, as we (hopefully) transition into spring, winning game after game as we go.
Margaritas are always a good idea, but Margarita Week gives that all-important excuse to taste the spectrum of growing recipes and twists on the classic. Plus, National Margarita Day falls on 22 February, so if you’re holding off until then, you can meticulously plan your Margarita-related activities, whether you’re more of a taster or a shaker.
