Manchester is obsessed with Guinness, and obsessed with sandwiches, so why not combine the two? Two of Manchester’s most beloved institutions – Mulligans and Bada Bing – have teamed up to create something truly special: a limited-edition sandwich crafted using Mulligans’ legendary Guinness. And to celebrate, there will be 100 free sandwiches and pints of Guinness up for grabs on launch day!
What’s in the Mulligans X Bada Bing Guinness sandwich?

The result is the Split The B, a limited-edition sandwich featuring Mulligans’ Guinness braised short rib, crispy spuds, greens, pickled cabbage, crispy onions – every bite is crafted with the same care and attention that goes into every perfect pint at Mulligans.
When and where is the sandwich available?
Available exclusively at Bada Bing’s Northern Quarter shop from Thursday 6th November, the sandwich will be on the menu for a limited time only.
Mulligans Guinness

At Mulligans, pouring the perfect pint of Guinness is a serious craft. The pub has earned its reputation for serving the best pint of Guinness outside of Ireland, thanks to its fully independent Guinness dispense system, monthly staff training and even its own dedicated technician. Every week, Mulligans pours around 13,000 pints of the black stuff – each one poured to perfection under the watchful eye of owner and Guinness expert, Pádraig Brady.
Rather than waste any surplus Guinness generated through the weekly cleaning and consistent maintenance of their lines, the team looked for a way to make the most of the stout that’s too good to throw away, and far too full of flavour to ignore. So two Manchester legends came together with a shared passion for quality and an idea was born: the limited-edition Guinness-infused sandwich.

United by a dedication to craftsmanship and a shared focus on quality, Mulligans and Bada Bing represent two sides of the same Manchester coin – one pouring the perfect pint, the other serving up the city’s most talked-about sandwich.
“At Mulligans, we take pride in every pint of Guinness we pour,” says owner Pádraig Brady. “So when the chance came up to team up with Bada Bing and create something special for Mancs to enjoy beyond the pub, it just made sense. Quality recognises quality.”
Bada Bing, the Sopranos-inspired sandwich shop

Bada Bing, Manchester’s Sopranos-inspired sandwich shop, has been a local favourite since its lockdown beginnings. Founded by Sam and Josh, the cult deli gained a loyal following for its huge New York-Italian style subs and sold-out pop-ups across the city. After a brief break, that same love from locals powered their comeback – and their Oldham Street opening cemented their status as one of Manchester’s most talked-about sandwich spots.
“We’ve always admired Mulligans for how they do things – with no short cuts,” says Sam Gormally, co-founder of Bada Bing. “This collab celebrates everything we both love about Manchester hospitality – craft, quality and a bit of heart. It’s a proper Manc sandwich, made with a proper pint.”
