Although Manchester is internationally renowned as a music mecca, Italian rockers Måneskin will be visiting our beautiful city for the first time ever on their Autumn/Winter 2023 world tour. Not only that, but the Manchester date on their Rush! tour will be the only UK date.
The Roman four-piece will hit Manchester’s AO Arena on 19th December 2023, closing out the entire tour. It follows a mammoth hopscotch around the US, Canada, Mexico, South American, Japan, Australia and Europe, when the band hops over here from Dublin.
Måneskin rose to fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Italy in 2021, with their song Zitti E Buoni, and followed by the success of their version of The Four Seasons‘ Beggin’, and subsequently their number one single in the Official Trending Chart, I Wanna Be Your Slave.
Bassist Vic De Angelis has become somewhat of a social media icon, often posting ‘free the nip’ content and showing off her musical skills and glam rock-esque outfits. The boys of the band are similarly flamboyant and quite obviously work well together as both bandmates and the best of friends – they’re just all about fun, and we love it!
The band is currently on tour, for which they are performing in many cities in their native Italy, as well as London, but no other UK locations. It will be somewhat refreshing when they visit Manchester alone in December, although there’s still room for more tour dates if the demand is there, and we’re sure it will be.
Måneskin will also be playing at Glastonbury and Primavera Sound in Spain this summer, making for a jam-packed year – and with Eurovision taking place in Liverpool this year, there’s no telling whether they could make a special appearance, or even put the north on the map for future tours.
Tickets go on general sale on Monday 2oth March at 10am here.
