If there’s one thing on a Match Day that is absolutely sacred, it’s a hot cup of Bovril. Particularly in the winter. It’s non-negotiable. And what happens when it’s gone? You face the wrath of the fans. Or, at least, that’s what the Etihad have been faced with this month after temporarily removing Bovril from its drinks menu.
Mysteriously vanishing without warning just last month, fans have been taking to Twitter and numerous other platforms to share their frustration after turning up to Match Days to find their favourite hot beverage unavailable, campaigning for Man City to bring it back for the winter.
Causing outrage within the community, Bovril themselves had ‘no choice’ but to get involved in the matter, rocking up at the stadium during a game with #BringBackBovril banners and free hot drinks for fans to enjoy.
Here are some of the best reactions at Man City’s temporary Bovril let-down:
Day at football ruined already! No Bovril on a cold day at the football is absolutely scandalous! @emily_wildex really unimpressed! What's going on @ManCity?

Following a successful campaign, the Etihad have finally come to their senses to reinstate the popular half-time tipple, with fans absolutely rejoicing at the news that’s been plastered around the stadium.
The beefy drink is back just in time for the Man City vs Leeds game, so fans attending can rest assured they’ll remain warm and toasty on their next visit.
