The new bar has taken over from the former Tusk and Walrus site.
Breathing a breath of fresh air into the former Tusk and Walrus site in the Northern Quarter – both of which resided on High Street for quite some years – the Man With The Fish is the city’s newest haunt, serving up the perfect chilled weekend vibes for Mancs to enjoy.
Consisting of both a bright and airy restaurant area – which boasts rustic interiors complete with barrel-style tables – and a cool basement hideaway, Man With The Fish brings a new approach to classic BBQ grub, offering a lip-smacking menu of tasty dishes such as the fish finger flatbread, huge hot dogs, Vimto onions, shawarma fries, jerk chicken, brisket and so much more. Led by award-winning pitmaster Jason Latham, food will be served til 2am on weekends, helping Mancs swerve those kebab shop queues for something a little tastier.
Dubbed as a ‘beer lovers paradise’, guests can expect a selection of 15 different draught beers, as well as a wide range of cans and bottles, too. Expect to see plenty from Tiny Rebel on offer, as well as brews from Beavertown, Madri and more.
Hosting regular DJ sets playing the very best of reggae, roots and hip hop, guests will be treated to ‘club vibes’ in the basement every weekend til 2am, with the atmospheric kitchen and bar space open daily from 4pm til the early hours on weekdays and 12 noon on weekends.
Man With The Fish is open now and can be found at 78-88 High St, M4 1ES.
