Unwind in the most unique way!
There’s been puppy yoga, piglet yoga… And now, make way for Lemur yoga! Taking place in the scenic Lake District, Keswick based hotel Armathwaite Hall is hosting the perfect way to relax, bringing guests truly at one with nature.
Creatively titled “lemoga”, the experience allows guests to take part in a yoga session outdoors where the on-site Lemurs roam free. Known for being friendly and sociable animals with soft fur and big round eyes, they’re the perfect companion for getting your stretch on.
Downward dog to some beautiful woodland scenery in the hotel’s 400 acres of land, while lemurs potter around the class taking part and being their general, playful selves. Don’t be alarmed if they climb up on you either, as the animals are well known for their love of contact with others.
The class is a permanent fixture as part of the hotel’s wellness programme which encourages guests to ‘meet the wildlife’, including other animal-related activities such as their Apprentice Keeper course and walks with Alpacas.
The class aims to reduce stress and blood pressure just by being around the Lemurs, with a whole package available to book which includes the session, overnight accommodation, dinner and breakfast, and a spa treatment. Not only that, with every ‘Lemoga’ spa break booked, the hotel will donate 10% to SEED Madagascar, a charity that aims to ease poverty in Madagascar.
