Manchester has no shortage of bottomless brunches these days, but every now and then a new one arrives and makes our ears prick up. And Ancoats rock ‘n’ roll bar Jimmy’s certainly knows how to get our attention, as they’ve launched a brunch offering to arguably rival all others.
Picture this: it’s a Saturday afternoon, you’re absolutely starving and well up for a party. You’ve got a choice between Espresso Martinis, Pornstar Martinis, Aperol Spritz, beer, cider, prosecco and house spirits to drink for the next 90 minutes — an impossible decision, but one you’re thrilled to have to make. And then there’s the food.
You scan the menu, running your eyes over everything from the Buffalo Fried Chicken Burger, to the Chip Butty – a mixture of skin-on chips and waffle fries piled high in a bun with a sauce which, again, you must choose*. You suffer decision paralysis, because everything just sounds so effin’ good.
Alongside the fried chicken burgers and the chip butty, you’ll also find a vegan Magic Mushroom Burger — as well as Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffles served with ice cream. Oh and everything is served with fries (yes, even the chip butty).
If you have room after all that (!), you can also pay a fiver for a deep fried chocolate bar to end your meal, choosing from the classic Mars Bar, or a Double Decker, Kinder Bueno, Creme Egg, and more.
Jimmy’s bottomless brunch costs £35pp and is available on Saturdays between 12-3pm. Book your table here.
*Chip shop curry sauce though, surely?
