Jimmy’s has a new home.
After being forced to vacate their original Northern Quarter venue, Jimmy’s has found a new home in one of Ancoats’ historic buildings – transforming the grand space, which neighbours both Rudy’s and Seven Bro7hers, in true Jimmy’s style. And while we’ve missed the venue and its rock n’ roll ways dearly since its 2019 closure, the bar is finally set to return this August 13th – with a new approach designed around good beer and (even better) food.
Founded back in 2016 by brothers George and Jimmy Craig (the former, of which, you may recognise from indie success One Night Only), the new location will bring back the brand’s staple red and black interiors, along with a few special details from their original NQ space. Set across two floors – Jimmy’s Ancoats will offer up a fantastic dining and drinking experience, with outdoor seating available to enjoy, too. The al fresco offering will complement the existing outdoor atmosphere on Cutting Room Square, which the likes of Rudy’s, Canto, Seven Bro7hers and The Counter House have all contributed to.
Sitting on the corner of Blossom Street and Cutting Room Square, guests will be able to take in Jimmy’s signature ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ atmosphere, a BBQ-inspired menu of small plates in store including dishes such as smoked mac and cheese, Korean buns and cauliflower candy.
Fill up on Jimmy’s Famous Bottomless Brunch – which will be served until 3pm on Saturday 14th August – enjoy their Rock ‘N’ Roll BBQ from 5pm, or opt for their delicious Sunday roast menu, which includes plenty of gravy, massive Yorkshire puds and is served on a weekly basis. Trust us when we say, it doesn’t disappoint.
Food bookings are essential, however drinks tables will be available on a walk-in basis, so you can pop by and try your luck whenever you’d like. Bookings can be found here.
The new Jimmy’s can be found at 27 Blossom St, Ancoats, M4 6AJ.
