It’s also widely considered one of Manchester’s best restaurants.
There’s a reason we Mancs love Hawksmoor so much. Originally hailing from Spitalfields, London (which we suppose we’ll forgive this one time), the luxurious steakhouse has made quite the name for itself over the years – serving top class British beef and British-sourced produce. Set within a former Courthouse, the venue oozes elegance. And so does its food.
And if that wasn’t good enough for us already (which, it definitely was), Hawksmoor Manchester has been officially named one of the best places for burgers in Europe – sitting pretty at #20 continent-wide, according to the foodies at Big7, at least.
Following a number of other establishments in England, Hawksmoor was acknowledged for its fantastic cocktails and atmosphere in the bar. What the team did forget to mention, however, is how delectable the steakhouse’s bone marrow burgers are, packed full of flavour with the perfect number of toppings. Made with 100% grass-fed beef from traditional British breeds, each bite is as moreish as the next, with Ogleshield cheese or Stichelton to accompany. Unfortunately, reading about it isn’t enough to actually grasp just how bloomin’ good these burgers are, so we definitely recommend giving them a try if you have a visit planned sometime soon.
Also named on the list was Manchester’s very own Almost Famous, however, it was the Liverpool venue that caught Big7’s eye. Ranking at number #37, the team described the burgers as ‘droolworthy’ and ‘outrageous’, in particular, their This Is Liverpool burger – which is packed with salt n pepper chicken n chips, chip shop curry sauce and peppered mayo.
