With Veganuary fully underway, we’ve never seen so many vegan options in the city until now. Adding to the Veganuary excitement is GRUB, who are hosting a food festival which will be serving all vegan street food for both avid plant-based eaters and newbies, as well as curious meat-eaters.
Established in 2017, the event will be taking place from January 27-29 to finish the month with plenty of plant power and will have six of the very best fully vegan street food traders in the UK. You’ll be able to get your hands on grub from the likes of Desert Island Dumplings, Nina’s Taco Truck, British Street Food Awards 2020/2021 finalist Seitan’s Kebab and the ‘best Neapolitan pizza in Lancashire’ Marley’s Pizza, that are sure to make you not miss meat.
Whether you fancy devouring dumplings, tasting flavoursome tacos, salivating over seitan kebabs or piling your plate high with pizza slices, this vegan food festival is just the place to be. And for those after a sweet fix minus the animal products, visitors to the vegan food festival at GRUB can enjoy baked goods from That Vegan Bakery and Drizzle City Bakes.
Plus, you’ll also find Alchemic Coffee’s pop-up garden bar which will feature speciality teas, coffees, espresso martinis, mulled wine and hot chocolate alongside a 100% vegan bar offering wine, cocktails, spirits, soft drinks and beer from the best local vegan friendly breweries. You can also expect music, vibes and lovely times, as well as a fully vegan version of GRUB’s bottomless brunch on the Saturday.
GRUB Extraveganza will take place at over three sessions:
- Friday 27th January, 5pm – 10pm
- Saturday 28th January, 12pm – 10pm
- Sunday 29th January, 12pm – 6pm
It’s free to enter the vegan food festival at GRUB however for those looking to book the fully vegan bottomless brunch, tickets start from £20 and there are two sittings (12pm and 2pm). Find out more here.
