Following major success at GRUB MCR and Liverpool’s Kazimier Garden, Desert Island Dumplings is set to kick off yet another residency, bringing their delicious vegan-fusion dumplings to Sadler’s Cat.
Now operated by Cloudwater Brew Co., the community-built pub will be opening up its kitchen to Desert Island Dumplings for one month only, kicking off a summer of delicious street food at NOMA-based pub.
Known for their unconventional dumplings made with a plant-based twist, guests at Sadler’s Cat can expect some seriously delicious fusion flavours, ranging from ‘Cheezburger’, Smokey ‘Cheez’ Pizza, Hoisin Mock Duck, Salt and Pepper ‘Chikn’ and Lobster. The tasty treats are served alongside an array of sides, including chips with ‘cheez’ and gravy, salt and pepper hashbrowns and ‘drunk’ Teriyaki noodles, as well as delicious dessert dumplings stuffed with lemon drizzle and Lotus banoffee.
Founder Lucy Linford says: “Whether you’re plant-based or not, the dumplings are really special. I’m passionate that good veggie food doesn’t need to compromise on flavour or choice.”
Hannah Smith, Hospitality Manager for Cloudwater said, “We’re really excited to have Desert Island Dumplings at Sadler’s Cat in May. A 100% vegan menu will be a great addition to our Cloudwater beers (all of which are vegan too.) Desert Island Dumplings will be kicking off our first summer in Sadler’s Yard and setting the standard for food traders taking over our kitchen hut!”
Desert Island Dumplings will launch at Sadler’s Cat on May 12th til the end of the month, and will return in August once the festival season comes to a close. Find the Sadler’s Cat at Hanover St, M60 0AB.
