We doubt we’re the only ones missing Greggs dearly throughout this lockdown.
Gregg’s is a staple breakfast, lunch and dinner spot. And many of us would jump at the chance to get our hands on just one sausage roll. Well, have we got news for you! [Featured Image: Iceland, Instagram]
Iceland are the heroes we need but don’t deserve. They’re stocking up on Greggs items as the stores remain closed. This, of course, comes as excellent news to us all. Especially those who queued round corners on the final day of normality for one last steak bake.
In an Iceland statement, the heroic supermarket said: “Iceland is set to receive Greggstra stock of the bakery’s most loved pastries.
“So Greggs fanatics can still get their lunchtime fix from the comfort of their own freezer by heading in-store or online.”
We hope this news doesn’t erupt into a toilet roll-esque gold rush, but the frozen Greggs items will certainly be popular in this trying time. No stockpiling, people. There will be enough Greggs for everyone.
If you can’t cook them to perfection the way Greggs does, we’re afraid this will have to do… for now. No one knows exactly how long this will go on for, but at least we have some form of pastry to get us through it all.
Here’s a list of all the Greggs stock on offer in Iceland (there will be plenty more of it now):
- Sausage & Bean Melts
- Sausage Rolls (four or eight packs)
- Cheese & Onion Bakes
- Steak Bakes
- Mini Sausage Rolls
- Corned Beef Bakes
- Vegetable Bakes
- Chicken Bakes
- Bacon & Cheese Wraps
