Gooey has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2020 in Manchester, and now the sweet treat favourite is expanding even further. To accompany its cafe in the Northern Quarter and kiosks in the Trafford Centre and Ducie Street Warehouse, Gooey is set to open a brand new cafe in the shiny new Circle Square, making its delicious bakes even easier to get our hands on – dangerous…
Having been praised by the likes of Lizzo and food critic Jay Rayner, Gooey is a truly unique concept to Manchester, experimenting constantly to bring the people of the city something new. Whether it’s their classic French toast, or something whacky like the Rolo style cookie or a seasonal gem, there’s always something unexpected being whipped up by the talented Gooey team.

It has been reported that Gooey is now set to open a new spot at Circle Square, just off Oxford Road, which is the perfect location on the polar opposite side of town to their original spot. The Gooey team also opened the highly-anticipated Onda Pasta Bar at Circle Square just last year, and is set to call them neighbours following this brand new Gooey opening.
Although we’re not sure on the ‘when’, we’re certain it’ll be an absolute smash. Even discounting the popularity Gooey has built up over the years in Manchester, cast your mind back to fellow cafe Federal‘s opening at Circle Square back in 2023 – the queues are still going now!

With a new spot comes excitement, creativity and enthusiasm for Gooey, and this expansion to Circle Square can only be a good thing. We can’t wait to see what the team whips up next…
Stay tuned for more details, including exact location and opening date – we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
