The need for us to concentrate more on looking after the planet is becoming gradually more apparent, and Manchester is very much paving the way. From hosting clothing swap shops to the introduction of the Bee Network, making public transport easier and cheaper to use, we’re all about embracing sustainability, and now Gaucho Manchester is hosting its very own Sustainable Supper Club.
On September 18 get down to Gaucho for an extra-special instalment of its celebrated Sustainable Supper Club, a must try for foodies and environmentalists alike. This zero-waste edition of the sustainable supper club will utilise left over cuts and trimmings from Gaucho’s Sunday roast dishes to create a sensational and sustainable dinner to be enjoyed in the most stylish of settings.
From canapés and mains to drinks and desserts, dishes will be not only delicious, but make a positive impact on the planet. We’re talking steak tartare, hummus and ceviche to start, followed by the likes of sea bass, braised beef, grilled sweet potato, the classic leftover concoction bubble and squeak, and finished off with banana cake. You’ll also receive a welcome drink of Coates & Seely English sparkling wine, all of which goes to prove that leftovers don’t have to be drab, they can be extraordinary.
What’s more, this Sustainable Supper Club will be partnered with LØCI which will be giving away a pair of vegan trainers on the evening, and guests can also enjoy a live performance from a local Manchester artist who will live paint a pair of trainers.
Tickets are £50 per person for the set menu, or level up to £70 for the set menu and sustainable drinks pairing. Guests will be sat family style on one table together, and seats are limited so book your space here.
