We love food from every corner of the globe, and here in Manchester there are plenty of global tastes to be proud of. From Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese, to the tastes of Europe, South America and Africa, we’ve pretty much got it covered. Following a series of successful trial events, Food.Fest has announced a monthly residency celebrating North West traders and bringing incredible cuisine from anywhere and everywhere to Circle Square in Manchester for us to gorge on.
After initially launching in June, Food.Fest has seen some of Manchester’s best food traders descend on Circle Square to supersize the lunchtime offering with the likes of Triple B signature salt beef bagels, Marley’s tacos and Tommy’s mouth-watering sourdough pizzas all featuring over the summer. Now, Circle Square has announced the Food.Fest will become a regular occurrence, taking a monthly residence on the last Thursday of each month with new vendors setting up shop for a payday lunch like no-other.
Starting from Thursday 26th September, between 12pm and 3pm, at Circle Square, Food.Fest will see an epic selection of scran from a host of street food traders you know and love. This month, Food.Fest will welcome the Malaka Brother’s, bringing their authentic Greek street food to Manchester, serving up unbeatable Greek classics including gyros, delicious souvlaki and halloumi fries.
Plus, venturing out of their home at The Tap House, Fat Frank’s will be serving up New York style pizza by the slice, the problem you’ll face is which of their fan-favourites you’ll snap up; a slice of Buffalo Chicken or Smokey Peperoni? Maybe even both!
Traders include Prestwich‘s Triple B by Eat New York, who will be offering their infamous mouth-watering bagels. Their classic New York-style Reuben bagel is a winner for any lunch time, or for those looking for something a little heavier the pastrami burger is one step up incorporating everything on the Reuben bagel, on top of a house burger and in a bun.
Finally, Little Bao Boy, who already has a great following in the area, operating out of their home at North Taproom, will be bringing their signature mouthwatering bao buns. You’d be mad not to take a ‘bao’ at Food.Fest, especially as they’ll be dishing up pulled teriyaki mushroom baos and the char sui pulled pork baos.
So, pop by Circle Square just off Oxford Road in Manchester on Thursday 26th September between 12pm and 3pm if you fancy a taste of something delicious. Food.Fest will then return to Circle Square at the last Thursday of every month after that.
