Fancy putting your pint-pulling skills to the test? Well, craft beer lovers can soon do exactly that as a huge, new self-service bar, known as The Tap House, where you pull your own pint has opened in Manchester. Although it means your head is on the line for too much froth, as you poured it…
Established in Nottingham as one of the top places to go for craft beer in the city, The Tap House has now set its sights on Manchester to launch their self-service concept. Located in Circle Square, The Tap House spans across two floors and boasts plenty of outside space as well as offering a huge 24 lines of beer to choose from, with a beer wall ranging in lagers, pale ales, PAs and stouts, as well as specialising in local breweries and hard to source brews.
But it’s not just beer on the taps at Manchester’s The Tap House as it has merged the self-service concepts with its sister bar, Another, which specialises in wine. With the two bars meeting under one roof for the first time in Manchester, vino lovers can also enjoy 16 different wines, with some available at the push of a button from the bar.
So how does the self-service concept work? Customers will be greeted then seated at a table where they will be assigned a personalised tab card – like your passport to scan the dispensing machines on the beer wall. Then when you’ve finished your tipples, you can settle the tab and hand back the card.
To compliment the drinks, The Tap House is also home to Fat Frank’s Pizza, which dishes up incredible pizza by the slice. And for those hungry enough (or sharing) there is a full 22″ pizza to tackle.
Tom Benjamin, co-owner of The Tap House said: “Perfect pints you can pour yourself. Delicious pizza by the slice. Wine you’ll love and adore. We’re excited to finally open the doors and see The Tap House concept come to life here at Circle Square.”
Prices for a pint range from £5.50, wine is from £5.80 and a slice of Fat Frank’s Pizza from £4.50. The Tap House is now open and can be found underneath the Vita Living East building, opposite Symphony Park, and joins a host of bars and restaurants at Circle Square including the recently opened Onda alongside the likes of Federal and North Bar.
