It’s been a quiet few weeks without Escape to Freight Island – and following their epic Winter Island (which, tbh, could only be described as an absolute wonderland of festive food and entertainment – sorry Manchester Christmas Markets), it’s safe to say they’ve been dearly missed.
Now, returning with a big bang – in true Freight Island style – guests can expect a jam-packed roster of events to enjoy, starting with a Manchester-themed party to celebrate their January comeback.
Bringing the Vimto cocktails and Manchester Jam eclairs (courtesy of Choo Choo), the reopening party is set to take place this Friday 28th January, where guests will be able to enjoy music that pays homage to the city, fantastic food and drink, and even a fun Art Battle – where 10 talented local artists go head-to-head in a live paint off and customers get to decide the winner.
Manchester DJs legends The Unabombers, Supernature Disco, Dave Haslam, DJ Paulette, Clint Boon and more are set to bring the party vibes over Saturday and Sunday, too, when anyone who has booked a table will be entered into the chance to win a Freight Island Black Card – which will be preloaded with £500 to spend every month for 12 months.
For the rest of February and March, guests can expect tons of both free and ticketed events – including live bands every Wednesday from the likes of The Untold Orchestra, Mali Hayes, Tom Seals and more, as well as live DJs and even a Guinness Six Nations Championship – which will take place between Saturday 5th February until Saturday 19th March. Rugby lovers will be able to kick back with mates and watch the games, while enjoying fresh pints of Guinness and plenty of street food.
Escape to Freight Island reopens on Friday 28th January 2022. Opening hours are Wednesday and Thursday (4pm to 11pm), Friday (12pm to 12am), Saturday (12pm to 1am), Sunday (12pm to 8pm).
