Escape To Freight Island Is Hosting An Epic Fireworks Night Display With Hog Roasts & Mulled Wine

Manchester City Council may have cancelled the city’s annual Bonfire Night staples, but thankfully for us Mancs, Escape to Freight Island is here to save the day.

Hosting an epic fireworks display on the 5th November – or Guy Fawkes Night, to the rest of us – Escape to Freight Island and its twinkling new Winter Island will be starting the festive season with a literal bang, lighting up the sky with an incredible fireworks display that will surely fill the giant void left behind by Heaton Park’s beloved (and very, very cancelled) display.

Getting well and truly in the Autumnal spirit, guests are invited to take refuge inside the stunning winter wonderland, which will be completely decked out with twinkling lights, a ‘forest’ of Christmas trees, and covered, heated terraces this winter. In addition to its bustling roster of entertainment – which includes their upcoming Fireworks Night display – guests will also be able to enjoy a festive market, too, packed with food and drinks traders serving mulled wine, boozy hot chocolates, hog roast and so much more.

Tickets for Escape to Freight Island’s Firework Display are selling out super fast, however, you can get your hands on tickets to their second showing here.

Winter Island officially launches on Bonfire Night, 5th November, and you can find out more here.
