Dining in the Dark is asking foodies in Manchester to throw a standard dinner out the window for an evening and to experience something eye-opening (of course, not in any literal sense of the word…). Blindfolded and unable to rely on your eyes, you’ll be forced to appreciate every tang, sweet, bitter, and savory taste that touches your taste buds. Are you enough of a gourmand to distinguish between textures and flavours?
Well, this unique experience is coming to SakkuSamba in Manchester. Places are limited, and with only two sittings taking place on the day, we advise you not to deliberate too much. Put your other senses to the test for a change and try something new with friends or a special someone.
What to expect at Dining in the Dark?
The special experience promises to “elevate your meal to a whole new level”, with darkened surroundings – leaving just you, your tastebuds, and your sense of smell to enjoy a three-course meal served in a spectacular restaurant.
Blindfolds will be provided to all guests and will help to heighten the senses as you enjoy your meal. Guests will be led into the darkened environment by a “guide”, who’ll be on hand to make sure you don’t bump into anything on your way in, before leaving you to enjoy the heightened experience.
Don’t be afraid of any spills or drops, there will be some nervous grabs for cutlery, but fun is guaranteed. While you can choose between a seafood, vegan, and meat menu option when purchasing your tickets, the rest of the evening will be shrouded in mystery.
Where is Dining in the Dark?
