New food, beer and much more hall DieCast opened in spectacular fashion back in July, with its cocktail fueled Leno Ex Machina season, full of urban good vibes, resurrecting the Diecast factory from Manchester’s industrial heyday. For Christmas, the new 50,000 square foot beer hall and warehouse kitchen takes over the main factory floor, with a festive twist, alongside the brand new DIECAST Winter Trailer Park and Night Market, festively named Winterhood.
Featuring a NYC bodega, karaoke corner shop, hot chocolate and vintage stalls for the winter party season, Winterhood provides all that Christmas market good stuff within the exclusivity of a venue, offering quirky additions including the Winter Trailer Park, featuring DIECAST’s signature rum caravans.
Taking over the main machine works, the festoon lit Brooklyn Beer Hall dominates the central factory space with a live Beer Hall Band Stand performing ‘in the round’, Bad Santas perform ‘Christmas Hits’ to party guests who are very much part of the performance – song sheets at the ready, channel your best Mariah for a raucous Christmas sing-a-long against a backdrop of Christmas trees, ping pong tables, the Brat Mobile, roaring fires and Brooklyn party bus.
Sing-a-long sessions are now available every Saturday in December with bottomless sessions available 12-5pm and ‘Winterhood Roast on Sundays’ with special guest live bands all day long alongside the Diecast Sunday Roast.
Winterhood menu specials include Frozen Black Martini, Mulled Negroni, Brats, Bagels, G-Balls and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
The beloved pizza, house of daiquiri and party space hosts a Thursday night spectacular – LA Bang! Vertical stages, explosive performances, witness LA BANG exclusively at Leno Ex Machina in Diecast.
The Christmas festival continues outside into the Winter Trailer Park, which transforms the legendary rum caravans into a haven for Christmas parties with campfires, doughnuts, marshmallow toasting, winter garden, a dance floor and sparkling lights. It’s pretty much all you need to winter in Manchester’s new creative neighbourhood.
Located between Store Street and Ducie Street, behind Manchester Piccadilly train station, DIECAST is the latest concept from the team behind Ramona and The Firehouse. The 5,000 capacity venue continues to open in phases, with Winterhood being the second, so there’s no telling what anarchy next year’s events will herald… in the best way possible.
Winterhood is here and bookings are open until December 30 here.
DIECAST is located at 51 Ducie St, Manchester M1 2JQ.
