And it’s run by the Gallagher brothers…
But don’t be mistaken, Noel and Liam haven’t quite patched things up in the name of a decent pint – or a reunion at all for that matter. The new bar is the creation of Mark and Paul Gallagher from Bolton, two lifelong Oasis fans looking to pay tribute to their favourite musicians.
Described as “upmarket” with an indie twist, the bar has – of course – been named after the famous Manchester band’s debut album, Definitely Maybe. Hidden underground in Bolton’s St Andrews Court, it’s one of the latest additions to the town – opening just last year before COVID struck.
While the bar is definitely inspired by Oasis, only subtle nods to them feature throughout the decor, with the owners going for a more modern feel to the place for everyone to enjoy. Copper finishes and exposed brick flow throughout, with touches of wood here and there for a more industrial feel.
On the menu, guests will find an array of classic cocktails – including the Cosmopolitan, Mojito, Pornstar Martini and Espresso Martini – with plenty of beers on tap to try, a casual food menu – including dishes such as loaded fries, chicken strips and dips, buckets of wings and more, with coffees and cakes also on offer for those fancying a more casual day.
Operating both an outdoor and indoor space now restrictions have eased, guests are invited to enjoy the sunshine out on the court, or retreat from the North West’s typical rain underground, where they’ll be able to enjoy frequent live music, open mic nights, ample seating and cosy sofa areas.
Adding a few extra touches for guests to enjoy now life is returning back to normal, the bar is currently accepting bookings – however, if you want to visit, you’ll have to book pretty fast – as they’ve been frequently booked out since re-opening.
Definitely Maybe can be found at 18 St Andrews Court, Bolton, BL1 1LD.
