Ever wondered what it’s like to experience a real-life Final Destination moment?
Well, there’s no need to ponder much longer, as two freakishly realistic experiences are coming to Manchester this Halloween, thanks to Darkfield – and they’re not for the faint of heart.
Titled ‘FLIGHT’ and ‘COMA’, the experiences allow those who dare to participate in, you guessed it, an unpredictable flight and an immersive coma – and it’s perfect for getting into the spooky spirit this October. Internationally renowned by thrill-seekers everywhere, the hit theatre performance, which uses 360 spatial sound and a variety of high tech sensory effects, is finally coming to a secret location in the city for us Mancs to experience for ourselves.
Combining actors and techy theatre with sheer terror, ‘FLIGHT’ offers up the once-in-a-lifetime experience to (safely) be on board a flight that goes unpredictably wrong. The 30-minute experience takes place inside what looks like your typical Boeing 707 flight, with only the pitch-black surroundings to comfort you. Guests will become fully immersed as they’re plunged from the ‘sky’ into complete darkness, with realistic sound effects and simulation technology that’s sure to fire up your natural survival instincts. You can sign up to the waiting list for FLIGHT now.
And for those fascinated by the mind, ‘COMA’ allows guests to experience the feeling of complete helplessness, as the mass experiment lures guests into a deep sleep with no escape, leaving the “unspeakable horrors” of your mind far behind. Guests will participate in a “collective dream” hosted by Darkfield’s very own ‘scientists’, where you’ll be required to lay still without a peep in the pitch-black. This intense experience combines white noise with dramatic effects which play on the senses, trapping anyone who enters inside their own bodies. Sign up to the waiting list here.
Both experiences take place this October for a limited time only, with tickets expected to fly upon release.
