It’s finally spring, and for many runners, that means one thing: the Manchester Marathon is near. As the city once again prepares to cheer on people braver (or perhaps more deluded) than ourselves, Circle Square has announced it will once again transform into a vibrant free Manchester Marathon Fan Zone this April, returning after the huge success of last year’s event.
Located just moments from the marathon finishing line on Oxford Road, the city centre neighbourhood will host an all-day supporters’ hub on Sunday 19th April 2026 from 9am-5pm, bringing together runners, spectators and the wider Manchester community to celebrate one of the UK’s biggest running events.

After welcoming hundreds of supporters and runners in 2025, the Circle Square Fan Zone is back by popular demand and promises an even bigger celebration atmosphere for Marathon day. Symphony Park and the wider Circle Square destination will once again provide the perfect base for supporters to gather, soak up the race-day buzz and cheer on thousands of participants from the huge TV screens that will be situated at Circle Square.
What to expect at the Circle Square Manchester Marathon Fan Zone
Full details of the day’s programme will be announced in the coming weeks, but visitors can expect a lively schedule of entertainment, food and drink pop-ups, family-friendly activities and special offers from Circle Square’s community of independent businesses and brands.

Family-friendly activities
This year’s programme places a strong emphasis on live entertainment and family-friendly activity, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the day. Visitors can expect high-energy dance sessions from the award-winning Bhangracise, alongside roaming performances from Jubacana, a youth-led percussion and dance band who will bring a carnival feel to the neighbourhood.
A range of family-focused activities will be available, including arts and craft sessions run by local artist Jamie-Lee Wainman, such as a make your own banner station, as well as plenty of kids sports sessions. Large screens across the site will broadcast live marathon coverage, allowing supporters to stay connected to the race while soaking up the atmosphere.
Recovery, movement & wellbeing for runners

Supporting runners beyond the finish line, Circle Square will also introduce an enhanced focus on recovery, movement and wellbeing. Circle Square’s Pilates studio Restart Pilates will host a dedicated Reformer Pilates Runner Recovery Space in Symphony Park, offering free, guided 5–10 minute stretch and recovery sessions for marathon finishers throughout the afternoon.
Jett’s Gym will deliver a programme of outside fitness classes across the day, followed by evening sessions focused on stretching and light movement to aid recovery – additional sports massage and physio support will also be provided throughout the day. Circle Square’s wellness and aesthetics clinic Forever22 will also be on site, handing out vouchers and giveaways to visitors.
Food & drink

A wide range of food, drink and retail activations from Circle Square’s independent operators will further bring the Fan Zone to life. North Bar will be bringing a street food-style bar and bao station to race day, serving up freshly made bao buns alongside their usual selection of craft drinks – perfect for an easy, on-the-go bite.
The Taphouse will also expand outdoors with a bar in partnership with Rattler Cider. Adding to the line-up, South African street food specialists Saffa Soul will be firing up the outdoor grill space next to The Taphouse and running a number of specials throughout the day.

Burger and steak connoisseurs Meatworks will offer a smash burger and fries, or Korean chicken sando and fries for £10.95, while Detroit-style pizza specialists Detroit Slims will serve £5 Margherita pizzas for all attendees, alongside a pizza and pint offer for marathon runners.
Pan-Asian favourites Hello Oriental will provide a free drink for runners with any meal purchase, and neighbourhood brunch and coffee spot Federal will offer 10% off for medal holders looking to refuel post-race.
The event will once again be free to attend and open from 9am-5pm, offering a welcoming space for runners and supporters to relax, celebrate and enjoy the Marathon atmosphere in one of Manchester’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
