Football fever is heading to the city this summer, more than usual, as the largest World Cup fan park in Europe is set to land in Manchester. Named ‘We Are Football Festival’, the fan park is being brought to the city by 4TheFans in partnership with Broadwick and Manchester food, drink, and entertainment venue, Freight Island.
Running throughout the World Cup tournament (June 11 to July 19), the fan park will transform the legendary Depot Mayfield – home of Freight Island – into an unrivalled celebration of football, crowning the venue as the biggest in Europe to watch the World Cup. With a capacity of up to 15,000 fans, the venue, located just two minutes from Manchester Piccadilly station, is set to provide the most entertaining and atmospheric fan park in the UK.
It’s been three years since England fell short against France in the World Cup quarter-finals, and only in 2024 did the Three Lions come close in the Euro final against Spain. What to expect at We Are Football Festival: Europe’s biggest World Cup fan park in Manchester
Every hard-hitting tackle, controversial moment, and spectacular goal will be seen on the biggest, anti-glare screens in the country, accompanied by a sound system, pyrotechnics, and CO2 cannons. Fans can head to the rooftop or garden for a 5 pm kick-off in the sunshine, or enjoy late-night kick-offs in the warehouse, before partying into the early hours.
4TheFans organisers promise exclusive bar and food traders from around the world, DJs bringing the party vibes from doors to close, competitions, giveaways, a dedicated Footy Fun Village, and more, all brought together by a 4TheFans host and Sky Sports presenters. Each match screening also welcomes England football legends for quality match analysis and banter.
Beyond the football, We Are Football Festival will offer a complete entertainment experience. The dedicated Footy Fun Village will feature sponsor activations, games zones, and family-friendly areas, creating a safe space for fans of all ages to enjoy the tournament.
How to book tickets for We Are Football Festival
Tickets include General Admission, VIP Tables, and Family Packages, starting from just £4.50 per person, with 5,000 tickets available. VIP Table Tickets include a meet and greet with a football legend and VIP table section with the best view of the giant screens and the event.
The fan park will be created on a scale as tickets go on sale, first filling the super space at Freight Island, scaling into the rest of Depot as the fan community grows, to promise an electric atmosphere across the entire venue.
