From the scores from Home Alone and Love Actually to “Jingle Bells” and “Rocking Around The Christmas Tree”, world renowned classical musicians are coming to Halle St Peter’s and Manchester Cathedral to recreate these beloved melodies and prove that “love is all around” this December.

Happily, we’ve found another one that’ll bring joy to even the Grinchiest of grumps, as these Candlelight Christmas concerts will fill Halle St Peter’s with the sounds of music from some of the world’s favourite Christmas films, including Love Actually, Home Alone and Home Alone 2.
A classically-trained string quartet is set to take to the candlelit stage to take audiences on a memorable journey through some of the most heartwarming on-screen moments. “Last Christmas”, “The Little Drummer Boy”, and “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” are some of the quintessential Christmas songs being brought to life by candlelight.

Taking place at one of the city’s finest venues, this candlelit concert is the perfect way to unwind after the Christmas season and what will likely be a late night on New Year’s Eve.
