A whole day of animal antics, live from your sofa.
It’s day 18392485. Boredom ensues already. You’ve eaten all of your survival snacks and completed Netflix. But it’s all groovy, because Chester Zoo is hosting a full day of live tours featuring some of their coolest animals.
Taking place all day today from 10am-3.30pm (Friday 15 May), guests will be treated to a virtual tour of some of the zoo’s most interesting animals, allowing you to experience the joys of a day out right from the comfort of your couch.
The live sessions are new for the zoo and will take place on their Facebook page while the premises are closed for the public – covering family favourite animals that will keep both kids and adults entertained throughout the day. The tour will take viewers to see cheetahs and tropical birds, before getting a little more exotic with orangutans and warty pigs.
Check out the full schedule below:
10am: One-horned rhinos
11am: Mountain chicken frogs
12pm: Northern cheetahs
1pm: Tropical birds
2pm: Orangutans
3pm: Visayan warty pigs
Chester Zoo was forced to close its doors due to the pandemic, however, zookeepers remain on-site to ensure animals are cared for and given the same level of love and attention they usually receive.
