Stockport’s beloved pie shop, Ate Days A Week, has found itself a brand new home – opening up a brand new restaurant completely dedicated to the classic Northern pie on the city centre’s Cooper Street.
The pie shop, which has been serving up creatively named pies named after classic songs since 2020, has gone from strength to strength in its two years of business – starting life as a humble sandwich delivery service back in lockdown, before expanding to pies, Wigan kebabs and classic fish and chips. Basically, it’s proper British cuisine at its finest.
Following a decrease in footfall in Stockport town centre, the team will now serve up their tasty pies from the former Porky Pig venue on Cooper Street, with a menu packed full of delicious handmade pies (AKA “Pie of the Tiger”) such as steak and ale, chicken balti and Lancashire cheddar, alongside their popular ‘Wigan kebab’ (or, “I Just Died In Your Barm”), which consists of a pie of your choice sandwiched in a barm and topped with minted mushy peas and gravy.
The cafe also serves up a selection of meaty sandwiches on tasty rosemary focaccia and English breakfast pies, alongside sweet cookie pies filled with decadent fillings such as salted caramel and Belgian chocolate. Ate Days A Week will also introduce a Sunday roast, which will be served weekly.
Ate Days A Week will serve a constantly rotating menu 7 days a week from 7 Cooper Street, M2 2FW.
