Summer just got a whole lot hotter with popular Indian restaurant Asha’s set to reopen its doors to the public this August. To celebrate its reopening after a stunning renovation, the restaurant within hotel Forty Seven is inviting guests to be among the first to experience the next generation of Asha’s.
Founded by Bollywood legend Asha Bhosle, Asha’s offers up classic Indian cuisine – and even a seriously creative Indian-inspired Sunday Roast. From butter chicken to the famous Vindaloo, there are plenty of curries to choose from, with lamb, chicken and prawn taking centre stage and the restaurant promises to take diners on an voyage through India’s North-West frontier province – featuring lovingly made dishes inspired by Asha Bhosle’s life.
However, not only is Asha’s introducing guests to a brand new look but it’s also opening alongside a new stylish bar concept, The Peterman, which is set to become an exciting new addition to Manchester’s Peter Street. The bar promises a nod to tales of the past by re-forming the focus of the Petersfield stories, by adding its own twist, like that of a lemon in a good martini.
Plus, Asha’s is hosting an exclusive event on August 15 to commemorate India’s 75th year of independence where guests will be treated to a lavish evening of entertainment and authentic Indian flavours. India’s Independence Day is celebrated annually across the world on August 15, and observes the anniversary of the nation’s independence from the United Kingdom.
Commencing at 6pm, welcome drinks will be provided in The Peterman bar, a stylish haven of opulence and luxury, and here guests are also invited to take-in the traditional Indian music from Asha’s Dhol players and presented with beautiful Gajra flower garlands. At 7pm, guests will be led through to Asha’s, where they will enjoy a three-course contemporary feasting experience, with delicious and flavourful dishes curated by Asha’s new head chef, Rajesh Bhatt.
This is an exclusive ticketed event, where places can be booked for up to tables of seven people here. A ticket to this event includes an arrival cocktail at The Peterman, poppadoms served with a selection of home-made chutneys and a three-course Asha’s dining experience.
The restaurant will be reopening from August 10 and you can book your table at Asha’s here.
