Best. News. Ever.
In a move that will please Mancunians everywhere, ASDA and Gregg’s are teaming up in a collaboration that’s hotter than any rap track featuring Drake or Kanye.
Rolling out from next month, Gregg’s counters will be trialled in stores across the UK – so shoppers can literally scran a good old pastry while they shop. What better way to amplify your shopping experience?
The concept will be introduced to five stores – Boldon, Corby, Huyton, Wigan and Eastlands (Manchester) – and will make ASDA the first supermarket to house a Gregg’s. What an accomplishment.
Pastry fans will be able to shop their usual faves, with the bakery’s full menu (vegan options included) available to order. Just try not to get pastry all over the clothes in the George area…
Speaking of the (in my opinion) incredible idea, chief strategy officer for ASDA, Preyash Thakrar, has said:
“By partnering with brands that fit with our core values of great quality and great value – like Greggs – we’re excited to be able to give our customers access to something new in store that we know they will love.” She’s got that right.
As the concept is currently undergoing a trial period, no official launch date for the five stores has been announced just yet and no further details have been revealed about whether the concept will become available nationwide if successful.
