Albert’s Schloss Is Hosting An Epic Oktoberfest Celebration With Biers And 20-Inch Bratwursts

By Laura Rogan

The show must go on…

The official Oktoberfest might be cancelled this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate right here in Manchester. Keeping the spirit of the festival alive while the pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the world, Albert’s Schloss is hosting a month of celebrations, bringing the beers over all the way from Munich.

Kicking off just yesterday and continuing on until October 5th, Schloss will be serving up five Oktoberfest biers – all of which are rarely found outside of Munich. If that wasn’t enough, they’ll also have Manchester’s biggest brat on the menu, too, measuring up at a whopping 20 inches. Now that’s a big sausage. All Oktoberfest biers are on sale for £6, with Paulaner Oktoberfest, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Spaten Oktoberfest, Hacker Pschorr and Lowenbrau making up the menu.

Starting the party in style, there’ll be a fun night of ‘frolics’ on Thursday 10th September, marking the official return of the venue’s much-loved performers and promenaders. At. Long. Last! Oh, and if you’re sporting Lederhosen, you can bag yourself a free pint. You don’t need to tell us twice!

COVID safe measures have been implemented across the venue, and social distancing will remain in place as Schloss gets back to its old self.
