Manchester isn’t exactly short of places for post-work drinks. It’s essentially a religion in this city. But one place, in particular, igniting that Friday feeling? 7 Sins. Found just a few steps off the Northern Quarter‘s bustling Stevenson Square, 7 Sins is the kinda place that you can stumble right out of the office doors and fall into, with fresh beer – of course – waiting at the bar.
A technicolour grown-up playground packed full of stress-busting activities and strong tonics for a rough week at work, the laid-back venue is practically a one-stop destination for a leisurely booze-up, whether it’s a grand reunion with mates or a chilled wind-down on a weeknight.
Home to numerous activities including shuffleboard, pool, arcade games, foosball and beer pong, guests can take on their mates in a few fun games, before kicking back to enjoy a pretty rainbow selection of neon-toned cocktails complete with glowsticks, paper umbrellas, and more.
Enjoy whopping cocktail sharers in flavours such as Lemon Pie, the Passionbowl and even Aperol Spritz for those summery occasions, or opt for a glass all your own of concoctions such as the Disco Iced Tea (served with glow sticks, obviously), the Harley Quinn, and the cocktail most ideal for Mondays – the Sassy Bitch.
When hunger strikes, 7 Sins’ buddies at Your Basic Kneads are on hand to fill up those tums, with a carby (and extra-long) menu packed full of pub night classics. We’re talking deliciously creative pizzas topped with Bloody Mary sauce, smiley faces, onion bhajis and so much more, 10-inch boxes filled full of loaded fries, juicy beef burgers themed around the seven deadly sins, and classic sharers such as garlic bread and nachos.
The graffiti-covered basement bar took over the Nordic-inspired crunchy venue, Fika, around three years ago, and to this day perfectly compliments Stevenson’s Square’s existing, lively bars and restaurants which include Ply2, Flok, Lost in Tokyo and the Quarter House.
