However, what if we told you this exact scenario is now a reality just one hour away from Manchester, with the UK’s first floating sauna gracing those in the North West in need of some pampering. Wyld Sauna is a place for quiet contemplation and luxury, with regal facilities and wild swimming at the ready.
Wyld Sauna is a public floating sauna that has landed at Princes Dock in Liverpool, and is now open to the public. The spot fits 30 people into the sauna, as well as four ice baths, two cold waterfall showers, four heated outdoor showers equipped with salt rubs and direct access to the water, as well as luxury changing rooms with Dyson hairdryers and swimsuit dryers.
Wyld was founded by long-time friends and sauna enthusiasts Jon Miller and Tom Berendsen and is an official member of the British Sauna Society. It brings the traditional Nordic sauna experience to modern urban living, creating a communal environment that’s accessible to everyone, just like you see in Scandinavian countries.

How to book a session at Wyld Sauna
Guests can book a session at Wyld Sauna in Liverpool via the Wyld website. Each session is 1 hour long, including use of the sauna, cold plunge pools, and dock swimming.
Sessions start from as little as £5 during off-peak hours and sessions cost £12.50 during peak hours like weekends and evenings.
