The Trafford Centre is bringing back its popular, budget-friendly summer entertainment programme, and it’s set to be its biggest yet. The shopping centre will welcome back its highly anticipated Summer Fair, which includes a giant beach, splash park and rides, alongside a brand-new Cosmic Carnival Show to keep the kids entertained throughout the school holidays.
Following the success of last year’s event, the fun is making a comeback for the school holidays and will be kicking off from Saturday 18th July and running until Monday 31st August. In addition to the Trafford Centre’s Summer Fair, there will also be free community events and a uniform drive to support local families, making it the ultimate day out.

Summer Fair returns to the Trafford Centre
Open daily from 12pm–8pm, the Summer Fair has become one of Greater Manchester’s favourite school holiday attractions, welcoming thousands of visitors each year. The Trafford Centre’s Summer Fair outside the Great Hall will feature its much-loved beach and splash pool, in addition to thrilling fairground rides, family attractions and classic summer treats. Plus, tickets only cost £3.50 on the day or £2.50 when pre-booked, making for a cheap day out.

Cosmic Carnival Show and Zero-Gravity Disco
New for summer 2026, the Trafford Centre will welcome the Cosmic Carnival Show, a programme of free live performances taking over the Orient Main Stage area twice a week throughout August. Families can step into the magical world of the ‘Out of Time Circus’, with breathtaking aerial performances by larger-than-life characters and live vocals that transport them into the vibrant Cosmic Circus.
Plus, the fun continues with the Zero-Gravity Disco, an energetic celebration packed with chart hits, incredible dance routines, and audience participation. After every show, children can take part in free interactive workshops, learning dance routines and trying circus-inspired skills with the performers. Visitors can enjoy this every Wednesday and Thursday throughout August at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Summer Passport
Whilst visiting the Trafford Centre, families can fill a free Summer Passport with six stamps as they explore participating attractions and events, including NAMCO Funscape, Paradise Island Adventure Golf, Laser Quest, the Fair, ODEON and the summer Cosmic Carnival Shows while enjoying exclusive dining offers.
Once completed, passports can be returned to Guest Services for the chance to win a £1,000 Trafford Centre Gift Card or one of two £500 Gift Cards. You can sign up for a Summer Passport here and then collect from Guest Services.

Emergency Services Day
The Trafford Centre will once again host its annual Emergency Services Day on Thursday 6th August, allowing families to celebrate and learn more about the vital work of the local emergency services. Running from 10am to 4pm, this free, family‑friendly event brings a full day of action, hands‑on fun and fascinating insights.
Taking place on car parks 10 & 11 outside The Great Hall, the event will see teams from over 50 organisations coming together, including Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, North West Ambulance Service, Greater Manchester Police, the British Army, RNLI and many more. Visitors can get up close to around 100 emergency service vehicles, enjoy live demonstrations and explore interactive displays that show exactly what it takes to keep our region safe every day.

School Uniform Drive
The Trafford Centre has partnered with EMPOWER Youth Zones to launch a back-to-school donation drive to help thousands of young people across Manchester and Salford start the new school year with the essential items they need. From Tuesday 7th July to Sunday 16th August, customers are encouraged to donate new back-to-school essentials at Trafford Centre’s Guest Services Lounge, located on Lower Regent Crescent (next to M&S). Donations will support EMPOWER Youth Zones’ Future Ready campaign, helping children and young people return to school feeling confident, prepared and ready to learn.
