As the famous saying of Marie Antoinette goes… “Let Mum eat cake”… Or something like that.
Bringing back their sell-out experience from last year, The Lowry Hotel is hosting an all-you-can-eat afternoon tea in its Grand Ballroom (oooh, fancy!), and it’s set to be the perfect occasion for the whole family.
The five-star hotel will be serving up some seriously delicious treats, with an array of sandwiches, scones and cakes making up the menu – and the best part? It’s all unlimited. There’ll be salmon cones with caviar and dill, smoked bacon, shallot and Lancashire bomb tarlet, Coronation chicken with golden raisin and baby gem, cream cheese, cucumber and mint, or roast red pepper, basil and homemade hummus to choose from – making the menu options as luxurious as ever.
Guests can fill their boots with all the sugary treats, sandwiches, hot drinks and juices their heart desires, with a magician on hand providing the entertainment.
There’s so many sweet treat options you’ll probably leave with a toothache, with fudge brownies, rum and dark chocolate pave, cherry and pistachio financier and an endless supply of baked fruits making up just some of the options that will be available on the day.
The afternoon tea costs £30 per adult and £15 per child for four hours of endless food. The event takes place on Mother’s Day itself (March 22) and starts at 12pm. Find out more here.
