The restaurant is doing its bit for the community during the outbreak.
In the hopes of helping make the current outbreak a little easier for everyone, Didsbury restaurant The Khandoker has announced they’ll be providing free meals to those in need, with anyone who knows someone affected by the virus able to pick up some hot food for them.
Announcing just yesterday, the selfless offer includes a warm curry, accompanied by a side of rice and can be collected by anyone who knows someone in need during this time.
The announcement reads:
“In these difficult times let’s work together and help the most vulnerable. The elderly who can’t go out and stock up and probably scared alone in self-isolation. So to do our bit Khandoker Didsbury will be providing free hot meals to be collected and distributed to those in need. Please contact us if you know of anyone who can benefit from this! DM us were happy to help!”
Locals have been quick to applaud the kind gesture, too, with comments such as “That is so good of you i wish more people were as kind as this” and “Brilliant gesture, typical of the Khandoker. Well done!!” left on the post.
If you know someone in need, be it an elderly friend or relative or someone currently in self-isolation, you can pick up a meal for them by contacting The Khandoker directly and collect from Kingsway, East Didsbury, M20 5WY.
