The Cali-inspired bar and restaurant in Ancoats known for slow fires and tequila cocktails, The Firehouse, has announced that it is now open every Wednesday and to make our midweek a little more fun, it has introduced a new ‘Wild Cabaret’ party to their weekly line up. Featuring immersive performances from the Manchester creative underground, Balkan freestyle and guest selectas, the wild cabaret party known as Fringe has arrived just in time for the autumn/winter party season in the city.
The name ‘Fringe’ is inspired by the freedom of performance seen at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and New York free theatre festivals. A platform for alternative independent creatives where they can showcase their talent through what they do best- freestyle performance. Firehouse Fringe will be the Manchester home for ‘Wild Cabaret’ every Wednesday. Opening at 4pm, performances kick off from 7pm and sure to perk up your week.
As always, the team will be serving up dinner and drinks and you’re welcome to stay for the after dinner party. The Firehouse, recently nominated as Manchester’s best restaurant at the MFDF Awards, has gained cult status not just for the Open Fire kitchen, Wild Spirits bar, team and service, but for what happens after dinner, bringing runway shows, fashion raves and parties to Ancoats after dark.
The Firehouse team have spent the last year making the transition from dinner into debauchery into an artform. From September 21, The Firehouse will open on Wednesdays at 4pm and they are bringing a high-energy fringe cabaret party to the city.
Alongside their equally renowned margarita list, which, like their sister restaurant Ramona, are just £5 all night long to fuel the Fringe party even further. Expect roaming freestyle Balkan musicians, spectacular sketches, fearless funnies, brazen burlesque and jovial gymnasts alongside special guest selectas making midweek something to get excited about.
