Think your palate is advanced enough for this?
If there’s one thing Sweet Diner love to do, it’s shaking things up in the burger world by going against the grain. And by ‘go against the grain’, we don’t mean with your run-of-the-mill rainbow buns and crushed Cheetos on top. No. We mean all-out bonkers sweet and savoury mixes that have really had Manchester divided in recent months.
Stirring the pot back in the summer with their Lotus Biscoff beef burger creation, Sweet Diner is no stranger to controversy. In fact, judging by their creations, they welcome the chaos – with their newest special of the fleet combining some unlikely flavours that are sure to have clashing opinions.
Called the ‘Sloppy Seconds’ burger, the new creation starts off with a classic brioche bun, beginning its form as a burger as we know it. But, naturally, in true Sweet Diner style, things take quite the crazy turn from there, with Nutella marking the next ingredient to be piled up on the bun.
Following the hefty dose of Nutella, guests are treated to a serving of fried chicken doused in gooey, salted caramel, before being topped with Kinder-style white chocolate and finished off with a piece of Kinder Beuno on top of the bun.
Now sure, you might be thinking ‘sweet stuff on chicken?’, but actually the Americans have been gorging on the stuff for years, smothering chicken with maple syrup and piling it up on top of waffles – a treat that we Brits would usually reserve for chocolate spread and marshmallows.
Launching especially for November, the Sloppy Seconds burger is available to order now from Denton’s Sweet Diner, and you can find them at 48 Hyde Rd, Denton, M34 3AQ.
