Manchester has become a hub for game and activity bars from darts to shuffleboard, but now a brand new “next-generation” social entertainment venue is set to shake things up. Located in Printworks, Spider Box Manchester is set to offer a unique entertainment experience from immersive music quizzes, live music, karaoke and racing simulators to a tasty food and drink offering.
From families to friends, corporate groups to students, Spider Box, which is open from October 11, aims to create a great night out for everyone. Taking centre stage will be the Spider Box performance area which will feature a carefully curated weekly line up of live music, showcasing the very best local artists and bands from across the North West including a residency from Dex, the UK’s first digital human DJ.
Spider Box has also taken you classic music quiz in your local boozer to another level as players can immerse themselves into their own music quiz panel show housed within Spider Box’s booths. Rounds can be customised to suit the players and will be updated regularly with new challenges and games to suit seasonal moments and trends.
And if you think you can hit as many high notes as Mariah, Spider Box’s bookable karaoke booths will allow guests to sing their hearts out against a backdrop of changeable landscapes including music videos and headline slots at music festivals. Spider Box Manchester also features six state of the art racing simulators with wrap-around screens and shakes and shudders as you drive off the track. All budding Lewis Hamilton’s can take on racing challenges on some of the best tracks and circuits in the world at the wheel of some of the fastest cars.
Bit peckish and thirsty after all the singing and driving? Spider Box Manchester also has a food and drink offering covering multiple cuisines, from the aromatic spices of the Middle East to the vibrant street food culture of Southeast Asia. You’ll find the likes of pan seared scallops with an Oriental salad, karaage chicken and 12-hour smoked Korean beef brisket and plenty more to suit all occasions and appetites.
Rob Hetherington, CEO of Spider Entertainment, said: “We have considered multiple locations across the UK for our first Spider Box venue, and we are delighted to be opening the first in Manchester, a city rich with music, culture and entertainment. We believe we have an immersive entertainment offering like no other and guests can expect an unforgettable day or night with each visit. We will have even more information to come over the next few months so watch this space.”
