Iconic indie outfit Shed Seven have revealed plans to celebrate their classic album ‘A Maximum High‘ on the road in 2026, heading to an unlikely Manchester venue this October.
As the album turns 30 years old, and in the wake of a huge sell-out show at The Piece Hall in Halifax, the band are bringing the album back to some intimate venues across the UK, some of which they performed in during the album’s original release in 1996 and haven’t returned to in more than a decade.
The album includes some of the band’s best-loved tunes, including Going for Gold and Getting Better, so fans can expect a rousing rendition of some of the absolute classics.
Commenting on their plans, the band said: “After the incredible response to our ‘A Maximum High’ 30th Anniversary show in Halifax, and after hearing that so many of you missed out, we’re thrilled to announce a special run of ‘A Maximum High’ shows this October 2026 and February 2027.
“This time we’ll be taking things back to where it all began… smaller, more intimate venues, just like the ones we were playing back in 1996.
“We’ll be performing A Maximum High in full, followed by a second set of Shed classics, along with a few tracks from our forthcoming self-titled album, ‘Shed Seven’.”
The northern rockers will play Manchester’s Academy 2 on October 30th, following special intimate shows in Birmingham, Kingston-upon-Thames, London, and Northampton, before rounding off the tour with a Halloween gig at Glasgow‘s legendary Barrowland Ballroom.
Shed Seven will also be returning to Manchester on their ‘Shedcember X‘ tour, heading to the O2 Apollo on December 5th.
