As the summer of sport continues, Manchester has become well versed in communal screening spots, allowing the community to come together around a common interest. Now, Screen on the Docks at MediaCity in Salford is keeping the show going, sticking around until next month to screen a whole roster of cinema classics, alongside the golf and, perhaps most importantly, the Women’s Euros.
MediaCity’s waterfront hang-out space is officially open again with its beautiful planters, colourful seating and deck chairs overlooking the epic waterside views. The big screen will be showing summer sporting favourites and family movie classics, so visitors can relax and enjoy the onscreen action with epic waterside views.

Kargo on the Docks has returned with a fresh wave of local food partners including Afro Shack, Wok Bros, Sunrise Caribbean, Quiero Tacos and Habibs, so visitors will never go hungry. Films on the schedule at Screen on the Docks this summer include Wicked, Dirty Dancing, Forest Gump, Moana 2, Coco, The Lego Movie and even a huge sing-along version of Matilda the Musical, plus many more.
Whether pre or post movie, indulge in the MediaCity surroundings just a stone’s throw from Screen on the Docks. Just across the water is Imperial War Museum North for some education and entertainment, The Lowry art gallery and theatre, and plenty of food and drink outlets to keep the whole family watered and fed. Whether you fancy sushi, a theatrical tipple at The Alchemist or a wander through the huge Kargo MKT, everyone is well catered-for.

Screen on the Docks is a great spot to catch your favourite flicks and enjoy a slower pace with loved ones this summer, so get there before it’s gone on September 24 – you can find the full schedule here.
